Grand Seiko 9S Re-edition with Arabic Numeral Dial

Elegance Collection SBGW325.

To memorialize the 25th anniversary associated with its manual-winding 9S motion, Grand Seiko has released the actual Elegance Collection SBGW325-a gratitude to one of the brand's very first limited-edition models.

The design of the SBGW325 pulls inspiration from the SBGW003, the limited-edition watch launched within 2001 that marked the particular debut of the manual-winding 9S movement. The modern SBGW325 is actually powered by the latest era of the 9S64 movement as well as retains the iconic dial style featuring raised Arabic numbers.

Grand Seiko frequently releases limited-edition versions, making it difficult to distinguish between various versions. The SBGW325 stands out thanks to its unique dial design; aside from the initial 2001 model, Grand Seiko has never used this specific design and style on any other watch. This particular feature alone makes it probably the most compelling Grand Seiko restricted editions in recent years.

However , its appeal stretches beyond aesthetics. While the SBGW325 boasts a unique design within the present catalog, its movement and also materials are relatively modest.

With its small steel case and time-only 9S64 movement, the watch will be competitively priced, further improving its allure.

Arabic Numerals

The initial SBGW003 featured a cream-colored dial with raised precious metal Arabic numeral hour indicators and blued steel hands-a look that remains special within the Grand Seiko selection even today. The new SBGW325 keeps this design but up-dates the color scheme: it includes a matte blue dial along with raised silver hour marker pens, while the " GS" brand and seconds hand are gold-plated. The steel case of the watch is essentially identical to that particular of the 2001 model, which makes it one of the most compact men's timepieces in Grand Seiko's existing lineup. It measures thirty seven. 3 mm in width along with 11. 7 mm thick, and features a curved " box-shaped" sapphire crystal.

The Caliber 9S64 is visible through the transparent situation back; it is a thoroughly new version of the Caliber 9S54 present in the SBGW003 released more than 20 years ago.

As the two movements share an identical architecture, the 9S64 provides a 50% longer power reserve compared to its predecessor-72 hours (approximately three days) compared to the authentic 50 hours. It holds the same 4 Hz working frequency.
