Why I Always Regret It When an Event Ends

Every time a major event in Monopoly GO comes to an end, I find myself falling into the same emotional cycle: relief, curiosity, and—without fail—regret. It doesn’t seem to matter whether I tried hard, played casually, or saved resources in advance. Once that countdown hits zero, I inevitably think, “I could’ve done more.”

At first, I thought this regret was just normal FOMO, but the more I paid attention, the more I realized it’s tied to the way Monopoly GO structures its gameplay. Events are designed to feel exciting and rewarding, but they also expose all the small decisions I made along the way—good or bad. And those choices can make me feel incredibly accomplished… or painfully inefficient.

One of the biggest reasons I regret event endings is using my dice at the wrong time. Sometimes I blow my stash too early, before a big wheel event appears. Other times, I save too much and end up with hundreds of unused rolls that would have doubled my rewards if I had spent them earlier. The moment the event closes, I always replay these decisions in my head and imagine the bonuses I missed.

Then there’s the milestone problem. I’ll often reach a point where I’m just a few steps away from a big reward—maybe a high-value sticker pack or a juicy cash payout. But because I miscalculated or got busy, I fall short right before the event ends. Seeing that “final milestone” out of reach is the kind of frustration only Monopoly GO players understand.

Another source of regret is underestimating mini-events and side tournaments. They look small, but they sync with the main event in ways that can massively boost progress. When I ignore them or join too late, I realize afterward how much extra value I missed. That’s when the regret really kicks in—because the opportunity is gone, no matter how much I wish I’d paid more attention.

And of course, there are stickers. I can’t count how many times I pulled packs throughout an event only to discover later that a trading window or boosted drop rate was coming up. If I had simply waited, I could have completed more albums or earned higher-tier rewards. Instead, I rushed—and paid the price.

The truth is, my regret isn’t really about failing. It’s about knowing that with just a bit more planning, a few smarter rolls, or better timing, I could have turned a decent run into an amazing one. Each event ending becomes a quiet reminder to improve my strategy for next time.

But at least I’ve learned one guaranteed way to reduce regret: strengthening my sticker collection. If you’re aiming to complete albums without last-minute panic, mmowow is a reliable place to buy monopoly go stickers at affordable rates—helping you avoid that familiar end-of-event regret once and for all.
